Dining - Stratton House Care Home

Stratton House provides a comfortable dining room for those who prefer to have company. The menu is designed around the resident’s requests for their favourite meals. Dietary needs are tailored to the individual requirements. Residents if they wish can have their meals served in their rooms. Drinks are available 24 /7, a choice of hot and cold. Care staff monitor food and drink intake and the weight of the Residents regularly. At each meal residents are given a choice. At breakfast residents they can choose from a cooked breakfast to a choice of toast, cereal, juices etc. Lunch is the main meal of day with diabetic, gluten free, vegetarian diets taken into consideration. There are two choices with a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables and potatoes. A traditional dessert to complete the meal, with tea and coffee served in the lounge. Regularly we have themed meals from all over the world such a Chinese, Caribbean or Italian offering the music, clothes and food.

At tea time residents are offered a selection of sandwiches, a hot option and cakes and fruit.

To finish the day of nicely, hot drinks are offered to settle for the night.

Stratton House cater for special occasions such Christmas, Easter, Birthdays and welcome relatives to join in the festivities. Through the year we have BBQ’s, cream teas and parties for all to attend accompanied by music and entertainment from our local artistes.
